Whoa, Riverton, Wyoming. I lived there for 12 years, left to be near grand kids in 2005......Just bought at 2002 Red T-Bird, just over a week. Great Hobby car. My GTO is a beast, fast, great car. The T-Bird is a cruiser and lots of fun. Very satisfied.

Look, I am an old man and the lady was kidding ( i think) but....
I was just at the VA clinic for my semi annual checkup and when I came out, this nice looking mid 30ish hispanic lady said:

Is that your car? The red one with the top down?

      Uh..Yes maam......

Well, why don't you give me a ride?
I'ld rather do that, then start this shift (She was dressed in a nurse's uniform.......)

      Uh.....ok........

She laughed and went on inside.......

Funny, I never had that with My Cadillac. Or my Mercedes. Not even my BMW. NOR my Corvette..........

      Yeah, I like my Tbird.

She was a good one. Sold 12/30/2014.

A lot better car and even more exclusive, but doesn't have the Cachet the Thunderbird had. Adios, mi Amigo.

It keeps happening. Latest was the waitress at Nestor's in N Ft Myers.......... The best thing about growing old is the fact that I have always liked younger women. Now they ALL are. Love this car!

I have only had my bird since August, but I love the car, think it is the best looking car on the road, a Real Eye Catcher... I (knock wood ) have had no issues with the car as of yet.. (19k miles )..I am slightly disappointed in all the extras that should have been included in a 45k dollar car that are not.. ie .. navigation, heated seats, sequential transmission, heated mirrors, homelink and an electric hardtop..

All in all, I am extremely happy with the car but a little concerned about some of the known issues that await me .. but.. I do consider the car a KEEPER !!..

That's odd...both of my Birds have homelink! It was standard equipment.

Thanks, Spence. I knew the '02's didn't have heated seats like mine, but didn't know they left off the homelink, too. Hmm...what were they thinking (or not thinking)?!

Very satisfied with the Bird. Took our first trip in the '04 this past week-end, Hattiesburg, MS. to Orange Beach, AL. to attend Redneck Riviera. This is a great driving car. Wife and I both LOVE it, the way it rides and drives! It is a keeper!

Elle; this was one of the fundamental problems with the birds. Advertised as a personal luxury car it was short on bells and whistles. Also under powered and we cannot forget the dealers and their "MARKET ADJUSTMENTS". All contributing to the short live run of these wonderful cars.

I'm disappointed in the lack of Homelink, too. Not found in the '02 and '03. I've got the door remote clipped on to a piece of plastic on the lower front seat frame and occasionally knock it off when getting in/out. Anybody have a better location? Someday I'll buy a new rearview mirror that has Homelink integrated in it.

                        But still love my bird!

George puts it on the softtop handle but I store it in the center consol compartment.
