I'd rather see a small decal placed towards the rear of both side windows, or in the corner of the hardtop and/or softop back window.....
Anything that requires a chrome/brass emblem attached to the grille looks gaudy, IMHO.

We understand, you've made you point twice here. Did you vote?
We'll just monitor the vote for the next month and decide what the membership would like to have. I think we need to option to customize our cars in any manner we like. You have an opinion, also, and you have an opportunity to come up with the window decals of which you mentioned.
I think a multitude of choices like stickers, clings, badges, heck, I even thought of coming up with a chrome license plate, but of instead of Thunderbird it would have the club's new logo. The options are endless.
Right now 27 votes positive is just not going to do it. We have 1100 registered members and a substantial participation might convince someone. The project will not proceed without the approval of the moderators anyway, so it could go forward, or simply be shot down. I can't make any promises one way or the other.
Jerry, I respect your opinion and just don't put it on your car. It's as "simple" as that.

Some members keep relating to a cling/sticker for rear window but remember tops come off and down with the seasons so would not be a daily item. I don't like stickers/clings for the windows, looks cluttered sometimes and can block vision. Saw a red Bird yesterday with 3 stickers on the drivers door window, did not look to good, took away from the elegance of this car. NV does not require registration stickers on windows like NJ and other states do and no front plate needed either in NV.
Like JerryP said I don't believe these two projects will be an either or situation. Both projects can proceed and just buy what you individually like. That's what's great about this country and site.
I think it's pretty much settled that the medallion idea is a great one. Whether it's plastic or metal is of little consequence to me. I'd prefer chrome over anything, but I'd be willing to look at other materials.
I think after the holidays it would be time to start looking into some design ideas and finding a source who could make them. Maybe there's a source out there with some good representations already?
