Because there appears to be only 2 photos showing our Retros with a fire truck I am going to declare this photo challenge to difficult for y`all.

So I'm going to change it up a bit and make it a easy challenge.

Since October is the real beginning of Fall and also ends with the wonderfully crazy Halloween show us your Retro either with Fall colors or experiencing Halloween.

This photo challenge will run thru Wednesday so get those photos into the challenge.

On Oct. 7th I posted the new challenge. By Oct 9th there was two photos posted. I waited a week for more photos, none came.

Thinking the challenge to be to difficult I changed the challenge to something more fitting to the month and absolutely no photos were posted.

And that is a shame because the photo challenge is a great way to show your car in unique settings.

So back to the FIRST TWO PHOTOs that came in.
I am selecting Paul's photo because he also told us about the effort he put in to get this shot & the good feelings it gave the fire fighters at that station.

Thanks, Mike. I think your original challenge was good, folks just seem apathetic these days. We have to beg people to put in entries for TOTM and these challenges most of the time. I can remember when Spence would have to carry over entries from month to month because he had so many. I don't know if the old timers are just tired of carrying the torch or the newbies just aren't that interested in taking pictures of their latest used car. Oh well, as long as a few of us enjoy these activities, I hope we'll continue to participate enough to keep them viable.

For our next challenge let's do an easy one - a picture of your retrobird by a lake or dam and please tell us where it is located.

        20191005_074449.jpg

This picture was taken earlier this month near the dam at Fort Gibson Lake about 20 miles from our house. The lake is formed by damming the Neosho River only a few miles from where it flows into the Arkansas River.

it was taken in southern Oklahoma on our way home from a spring Hot Springs tour with our TBN friends in March 2004. We stopped at the "Hugo Project" off of some Hwy. 100_0987_640.JPG

                            • Tough choices this time as all of the pictures (and the stories surrounding them) were very worthy of being selected. I particularly enjoyed the level of participation for this challenge. Thunderbirds look great near bodies of water as has been born out in the number of TOTM wins with one in the background will attest to.

Anyway, I'm going with Issy's pic of his WW with the geese in the background. The car really pops out from the background and the result is an eye catching picture. Issy, your turn ... pick a good one for us.

                              • Thanks Paul, the geese always seem to be around this small pond along with the ducks. I’ll go in my pics and come up with the next challenge.
