Reload the page, Paul. Sounds like your computer is remembering your previous attempt to make it work.

Agree with Dot...works fine, Paul. And I don't think it looks washed out at all...it's a beautiful retro/combo with a great background.

I must say, it looks better on my phone than it does on my computer. On the computer most of the picture looks hazy for lack of a better word.

Even a little better, the picture itself is not worthy of TOTM consideration.

Don't often disagree with you, Paul...but this time I do. But then again, I've only won TOTM twice in 17 years.

Paul, It seems you want someone to see what you're seeing. You've loaded it at 650xXXX which translates to 170kb. which works for this challenge. The picture looks fine as is.

I've looked at the thumbnail and it's enlargement. The scene seems to have a slight haze in the air in the background which will dull the colors in the background. When I make the photo larger than it's current dimensions, it will lose that sharpness. Maybe that is what you are seeing?

What size is your original photo? (that you didn't load here).

If you can't view the thumbnails when you click on them, I would think it's something that your computer is not recognizing when it's loading the page.

back to your photo: I would suspect that it's bothering you that the black top didn't show up as well as it could have if you had placed the car a little more forward to get the tree leaves behind the hardtop at the angle you were at. The other thing you could have done was lower the camera angle even more to get the leaves outlining the top..

Good observations, Dot. When I'm wandering around town taking picks by myself repositioning the car is a pain in the tush, so I got what I got and I wasn't happy with it. The original was 3.5mb and the cropped version was 1.6mb before I cut it down to post. Both of the larger ones definitely
looked even more washed out than the smaller one. Some of my issues with clarity may be my monitor - it's not the greatest. It could also be the no line bifocals, ha.

After reloading TBN the Thumbnails are now expanding. Good call.

Glad the reload did the trick for you, Paul.

Here's one where the sun got in the way. With digital cameras, I can aim with the sun in the finder but the effect doesn't always come out the way I expect.

Well, time is pretty much up. While the entries have been overwhelming, the win goes to 4LOWBIRDS+8 and the Cashmere Crush. Let the next challenge begin.

Well, I was going to post a snap from July 2015 during the 1st IG's tranny rebuild in response to Sealy's other thread where he used the word "distressed", but then I looked at Paul's original challenge in post #55 and he used the word "damage"...so, sorry Sealy, it didn't qualify. I tried.

                              Painting the Fence:

Tried to find the photos when the deer hit my bumper on the 02 blue tbird but they appear to be lost. So posted the next worst which happened to the Inca Gold just 2 months after we bought it. It was entered in the Yellow Rose Show for 2005 when they were showcasing the Thunderbird 50th anniversary that year. Had entered it when we bought it so they'd have a 2005 Thunderbird in the show. It's an indoor show and car had to be in place on Friday, August 18. Well, I had used the car on August 16, 2 days before the show, and our garage was a side-entry in suburbia housing. Neighbors fence right next to the driveway. I was backing in to garage. oops! Wasn't watching that side of the car as I made the turn into the garage. You can see the yellow streak on the fence. George had to make quick repairs and he had to buy a quart of Inca Gold paint. It made the show but the local Ford dealer also had brought a 2005 Tbird to the show so mine wasn't the only one. I did get a trophy for it though. Afterwards, George took it to a body shop to get it repaired & painted properly. ps. never did get a whole body photo of the car with the damage, so posting this set of 4 with the fence.
