I wonder if the family of whoever was driving this go-cart believes it was such a smart idea now ...

It is so overwhelming that it hides the entire car. The oldest Retro Birds are almost 10 years old and are classics already. Why mess with a good thing ( Well, maybe a little bit, but towing a trailer would look better than that thing)

It's a desperate attempt at trying to find something else to sell. Most anyone with a retro bird, that has had it for any length of time, has already bought most of the aftermarket parts their interested in. Lets face it, the 2005 cars are on the road for going on 6 years now. Unless there is a new owner out there wanting to accessorise their car, the sales of existing products are probably at a fraction of what they were. In all the years of this site, being the most involved site for our Thunderbirds, has anyone ever heard it mentioned we needed a real continental kit to transport our spare tire? And is it to transport the spare that originally came with our 'Birds? If so, Where does the full-size go when we have a flat if we have used the entire trunk for over packing, or is this thing sized to accommodate a full size tire? Sorry, I still think this has got to be the biggest laugh I've gotten in a long time.

                Hey Bradford.
We carry a plug/ patch kit in the console when traveling in our other car. I don't want to be on the freeway and have to unload the whole trunk to get to the spare and then what?
The tire inflator is in the back seat floor to refill the flat tire after plugging.
Haven't had to use it yet but its there if I need it.

The size of a continental kit big enough to hold a full size spare would dwarf the rear of the car it seems to me. Also I am not sure it's doable with todays bumper designs and materials. W ould be an interesting process, but I sure agree on the concept, (having a spare, and a trunk )

Personally I like it. Think it would look with a set of Longhorns upfront on the hood.

a perfume bottle laying on it's side... if you need more trunk space for a trip, pull out the liner there is space below the top well.

Looks like something developed as part of the AWACS program.

What is the problem? We use that basic design a lot here in Oklahoma. Probably where they got the idea.
