Re: Pacific Coast Roadster data
Thanks, Sal & Quickdraw. I've updated the graphics above as much as can be done with our current data. Any new members with PCRs out there that have not contributed here yet?

Re: Pacific Coast Roadster data
Sal, Quickdraw or Joe Varey or MichaelM can get your build date for you. You just need to give them your full vin #.Originally posted by SalprintSorry, I don't know how others got the exact build dates, but on my door it says 02/04. Is that it?
You can do it on quickdraw's thread:

UPDATE: quickdraw is no longer on TBN.Last edited by 5bird7; Aug 21, 2011, 09:54 AM.

calling Salprint
Salprint,
do you have your full build date for your PCR?
Have updated the graphics above but yours appears out of whack with the rest.

Re: Pacific Coast Roadster data
updated the graphics again. check messages #8 and # 15.
It's still looking like the plaques were placed in a bin with the highest numbers near the bottom so there is some semblence of order but no precise order.

Seems like Sixpac's doesn't follow the "mathmatical prediction" in this. Look at his VIN and production #.Originally posted by 5bird7I've updated the graphics in messages #8 and #15.
It's almost looking like the serial numbers were assigned by VIN # but then when it came time to produce the actual car, they got out of whack.
If Salprint could verify his car's build date, we'll have a little clearer indication of the VIN# and serial # assignments.
Somebody at Ford is on crack!Last edited by K.P.; Jul 27, 2004, 10:51 PM.

My guess is that Ford, or someone with high ties to Ford got #1. Kind of like Bob Walker with the 02 white he had originally.
I'll post mine, Dot when I quit being so lazy. Actually, I get distracted everytime I head out to the garage to get it off the car. and I never make it out there!

Re: Pacific Coast Roadster data
As you can see, the serial #'s so far appear to be random. Note how out of order the vin#'s are, too.
There is another number that we could collect but haven't since the first year, and that's the sequence # that a car is given when the paperwork enters the factory and the car is actually on the assembly line. It may be found on the white VIN# ID tags located on various removeable parts of your car. It is a four digit number and may be only found on 1 or 2 tags if it's found at all.
Libbabird - no clues as to who owns or has the 001 or 007 PCRs.
