Received this update and verse from Liz:
This morning update: Ron was increased up to 70% on ventilator yesterday, his oxygen level is good at 97. No other changes, all other vitals still stable and good. I will update only if there are changes. Please continue prayers.

This is what Liz said about how she is feeling...

For clarification - going from requiring 50% oxygen to 70% is not optimal. Ideally, you want the % to be lower instead of higher, however, from what I've learned fluctuations in oxygen requirements is something that happens often with Covid patients. As Liz said, recovery is often two steps forward and one step back. Earlier in the process, Ron was on 100% oxygen to keep his saturation level up, so while it slipped some last night he is still ahead of where he was when treatment began. As I said, the good news is that they are able to keep his saturation level in the high 90s by adjusting the rate.
Keep praying for that oxygen requirement to become less and less. When he's recovered sufficiently, they'll be able to wean him off of the vent and at some point down the road from there everyone will be able to cheer when he's wheeled down the hall at discharge.21 years, 174K miles, 48 States X 2 & DC, 9 Canadian provinces, 8 European countries, 3 Caribbean Islands, 3 Hawaiian Islands, 100+ National Park locations, 150+ T-bird events, 190+ retrobird diecasts/models, 13 TOTM pics & some very special friends...THANKS TBN !

Please get well soon! Eventually Ron will have more tours to give where he will be a docent and Liz needs to be the photo journalist of course.

Update, Thursday, Dec 10th @4:30pm
No big changes today. Richmond just talked to the doctor. Ron is still at 70% on ventilator, and oxygen levels 92-93. He has some elevation in pneumonia bacterial infection which they are treating. BP is slightly elevated, not extreme. Xray shows no improvement. He is getting agitated when they reduce sedation. They are looking at starting breathing trials in the next 36-48 hours. All other labs, cultures are still good. Thanks for your continued prayersBill Coates-Canfield, Ohio
