Prayers for Ron McCloud (4LOWBIRDS+7)

Update for this evening sounds better than the one this morning and midday.

Ron's slight improvements during the day from this morning's scare are still stable. He's now on 80% oxygen from the ventilator. His oxygen saturation is holding at 94. His BP is good but his heart rate is little high even on controlling meds. His kidneys are still working and he's showing reflex activity with stimulus.

A more positive report this morning from Liz:

"9:30am update. Ron still 80% on ventilator, oxygen saturation 96-97. Temp is 95, BP good, HR 89. He is at 0 sedation, only when he needs it. Kidneys still main concern. Prayers still desperately needed, I feel God is working on him."

Let's pray that we've reached a turning point, that would make today a great day!

2K2BIRD, Thanks for these updates. You can tell from the number of views of this subject that we are all keeping a close eye on. It will be a relief to finally hear that Ron and Liz are on the path to recovery.

It's my honor to have been asked by Liz to relay updates to our TBN family.

It's the nature of the disease to have ups and downs during recovery from severe cases. As Liz and I have discussed, Ron's got to win the battles to win the war. As with any conflict, there's nothing wrong with rejoicing when the news is better than it was hours or days before. God's miracles are not always immediate in nature. He has a plan, whether we can see it or not.

Liz says that there is no change since this morning's update. That's a positive in my book.

Liz posted the following on Facebook and said that I could relay it to those of us that don't use it:

"So many of you are asking how I am, thank you. I feel better, just still very tired, weak and coughing. Thank you for all your prayers for Ron and me, I know they are being heard, we have an Awesome God! We never realize how much love and how many friends we are surrounded with, I count each of you as a special blessing. Please continue to Pray for Ron, we all need him home and in our lives. He is a very special kind of person. We love all of you. (I was able to have a distanced driveway visit with Richmond and Donna McCloud today, so nice)"

How very nice. Please let Liz know that we are the fortunate ones to have she and Ron in our lives. We will never stop praying.

Morning update from Liz:

"Ron's levels remain the same, ventilator, oxygen, BP. However, due to increase in creatinine and potassium the need for dialysis is now. They will start him on dialysis this morning. Please be in constant prayer for much improvement."

Some good news is that Liz is out of quarantine and feeling well enough to be at the antique store today. Hopefully, it won't tire her out too much. I'm sure it will feel good to get out of the house.

Today our bible study group will again be praying for Ron and Liz McCloud. Last week and the week before we added them and others in our congregation who have succumbed to this virus. Currently our Redeemer staff is on self imposed quarantine because of our Music director Katie Holland who tested positive last Friday. One of our two pastors had it and has recovered, she is in her 30s, as is our Music Director.
