On NBC news tonight they had a report by one of their reporters, Campbell Brown, about Hydrogen or fuel cell powered cars and the options for moving away from our dependence on middle east oil. He was saying that the hybrid cars showed the most immediate promise.

However, on the shelf behind him was a model of a '02 or '03 red Thunderbird.

There is another new all Ford ad running - It was on ABC last night it features about 7 quick shots of 2 t-birds... the red shots are from previous ads, however the black shots are new. It was hard to see, but I think I caught a glimpse of the V-8 insignia on the black one.... (But I could be mistaken) so it may be a 2003, the red one is a 2002.

There is a shampoo commercial in which two models are riding in Thunderbird. You get a quick glimpse of the front and a longer view of an interior door handle. Not much to see.

                  Jerry,
I've noticed the same thing. Seems like I've seen that commercial more in the past three weeks then in the previous six months! Let's hope you're right.

Saw last bit of a video by a female country singer. Sorry, cannot remember who she was. She was seen driving up in a new bird. Interesting in that there were several shots of just the bird, no people. Sorry, sound was off and only saw a little of it.

Thanks Steve, I just watch My Classic Car and saw the Birds. There were a couple of shots of a blue '02 topless and a Red with White top. (15AGAIN's car combination).

There is also a series airing on the Travel Channel called "Movie Lovers Road Trip". I saw it on there a couple of times over the weekend. The host is driving a '62 (I think) Red Bird.

Of particular interest to those who were at Destination last year is the segment they do on the cars from "American Graffiti".

                            Pretty neat show.

Whoo hoo. :pink::pink::pink: I just saw a commercial with a black Tbird in it. Naturally, it wasn't a Tbird commercial, because we all know that would be close to a miracle.

In fact it's a commercial I've seen quite a few times and never noticed it. It's for Sheer Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner (at least I think that's the brand - by John Frida? ). Anyway, there are two models talking about all the things that can damage hair...and then there's a quick cut to them driving in a black Tbird with the top down. It's probably not even a full second worth...but if you ever watch tv there's a good chance you'll see it, because this commercial is always on. Also the little jingle is really annoying. "I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you." Only it's in this irritating voice...it loses a little in the typing.
