    Hey Paul,
You're exactly right. I kicked myself several times for not buying the extended warranty before my T-Birds reached 3 years old. I didn't pass up the opportunity this time. I hope I never have to use it, but I'm already feeling a lot better knowing the coverage is there. I called Lou today. We had a great conversation about our Retrobirds. He's very gracious and helpful.
BTW, tell Rosetta hello for me. I had hoped to see you both (and a lot of my other TBN friends) at Choo Choo, but it just didn't work out this time.

Paul - thanks for the information...

It is good to know that extended warranty's are available for ford tbirds.

I have 60,300 miles on my daily driver 05 and have factory warranty extention
for 75000 miles.....I am interested in finding a company that will extend that
      warranty.....hopefully ford has one.

I did call Lou in Chicago and left a message with him.

Lou returned my call - I will get set up for the ford 4 year 48000 extention
when my 75000 miles are met.

          Evening All,

Just got back from Dobbs Ford here in Memphis. I went ahead and purchased another Ford Premium ESP which will take me out to November 2013 or 96,300 miles, whichever comes first. My seven-year ESP ran out at the end of July, and I experienced my first "COPS" event a couple of weeks ago.....SO...I thought that with seven more (potential) COPS to go, plus some of the other potential system failures that seem to occur around the 50K mark, the 48 month extension seemed like a pretty good deal. I think, on the whole, if you are able to do it, you should!

Like so many others on this forum, I obtained the Premiumcare plan from Lou. My '03 is now covered until 2013. Lou made the process very easy and efficient, it took approximately 5 minutes to complete and then the documents arrived in the mail a few days later. Thanks Lou for providing great service to TBNers.

                Hey Ed:

Thanks for that. I've been providing the Ford ESP at a price that is much lower than what many have told me they've been quoted at their local dealers.

Prices go up on November 4. Not too much higher, but if you want to save a few bucks, have a four year bumper-to-bumper ESP on your beloved TBird, contact me by Nov. 3rd.

I'll get back to all of you with a personal note of appreciation for your kind replies in this thread.

                  Hey Chuck:

If I weren't at work I could have talked for an hour about our TBirds. Love mine. Yesterday I buttoned her up for the winter, she's under the cloaking device (see picture in my gallery) and the trickle charge is running.

Glad I was able to help you out on the Ford Premium Care ESP.

Here's my 2 cents worth: You can't get something for nothing, a warranty will balance the risk...takes the proverbial peaks and valleys out of the equation. I've always been in the no warranty camp, but you had better set aside the money that you save on the warranty, for potential repairs from the inevitable wear and tear. If you sleep better at night with the assurance of the warranty, all the better. Anyway, the manufacturer also is selling these warranties for profit, and has balanced the risk, some of them will expire with no repairs needed, while others will surely need warranty work done.

True enough Lindy, but I do sleep better having the warranty - that cuts my risk. I have life insurance too that, while I hope I never need it (and I won't because I won't be here) it will still come in handy. It's the same insurance game.

                        Extended Premium Care Warrenty
We purchased an 48 month warrenty from Lou Martuneac at Gjovik Ford in Illinois for our 2004 Thunderbird and our 2003 Lincoln LS. The full coverage comes out to $324.00 each year per car. Well worth the piece of mind. His phone number is 630-925-7590.

                          Chuck,

Sorry you couldn't make it to CHoo-Choo, you missed a great time and we missed seeing you. If you haven't done so, plan to join all of us in Clarksdale, MS next May. Glad you were able to take advantage of Lou's great service and I'm glad Lou has gotten the publicity he deserves from this thread.

I just talked with Lou on the telephone and purchased the premium extended warranty. About six months ago I replaced a water pump and and air conditioning compressor. Sure wish I had the warranty then! I always feel a little better when I'm behind the wheel of my Thunderbird. This makes it even better. Thanks Lou.

I also contacted Lou. I received my 48/48 ESP in the mail yesterday. $1295 is a deal and a half for a 7 year old car that now has bumper to bumper coverage until 2013! :)

                              Thanks Lou!!

I just squeezed in before the rates went up. Lou was very easy to work with. I told him I was a new member and he got me right in. Our car has a little more miles than most so the extra peace of mind is worth it. 4 yrs/48
