Here's my 2 cents worth: You can't get something for nothing, a warranty will balance the risk...takes the proverbial peaks and valleys out of the equation. I've always been in the no warranty camp, but you had better set aside the money that you save on the warranty, for potential repairs from the inevitable wear and tear. If you sleep better at night with the assurance of the warranty, all the better. Anyway, the manufacturer also is selling these warranties for profit, and has balanced the risk, some of them will expire with no repairs needed, while others will surely need warranty work done.

I also contacted Lou. I received my 48/48 ESP in the mail yesterday. $1295 is a deal and a half for a 7 year old car that now has bumper to bumper coverage until 2013! :)

Hey, thanks for the "atta-boy." I've done well over 30 of these to date. The new price for 2010 is $1,305. Not much for four years bumper-to-bumper. We had an 04' Merlot in yesterday, something wrong with the latch down hardware for the hard top. ESP pays for it.

I cannot recall if I ever followed up in here or not. While my car did not qualify for a bumper-to-bumper, I was able to get an extended warranty (ExtraCare) for the car. I am so incredibly pleased and grateful.

I just squeezed in before the rates went up. Lou was very easy to work with. I told him I was a new member and he got me right in. Our car has a little more miles than most so the extra peace of mind is worth it. 4 yrs/48

Thanks for the kind note. Glad I've been able to help so many TBN folks get Ford's Premium Care warranty.

If I knew how many were going to take advantage of what I am able to do for them I would have started a pushpin board of a USA map. How many states represented, how many from each state. I am tracking who has the lowest miles TBird. It is an 02 (Nieman Marcus) and belongs to a TBN member in New York with only 1,830 miles.

BIG BTW for everyone. So far four TBN members had me warranty their TBird and second car as well. Today, I took care of a TBird and a Lincoln Town Car for the same couple who first called on their TBird only.

So, if you are interested in an extended service plan (ESP) on virtually any make or model I can do that for you at the same discount rate for TBN members I've been giving all along.

Just got off the phone with Lou, less then 15 min. and my 05 Bird has a bumper to bumper warranty. Lou did a grate job and gave me a great deal. I talked to the other company (you know the ones with the race car drivers) and their price and deal was no where neer what Lou did for me. Thanks Lou.

I had a Ford extended warrenty on a '97 SHO that I bought used in 1999. I traded the SHO about a year later and cancelled the Ford warrenty and got most of my money back. I was only charged for the 1 year I was covered. That's a great feature.

Extended Warranty

I contacted Lou and He is no longer able to sell the warranty to the membership here. However, He did provide me with some valuable information. Thanks Lou!!!
To those that caused the problems for Lou, I hope you sleep well knowing you probably put a very nice man in an embarrasing situation.

This morning I bought a 4 year Ford Premium Warranty for about $150 more than Lou's price. I got it thru www.FordWarrantys.com (Phone 866-379-7095) Don't accept their first quote, they came back in less than 24 hours and took $190 off the price. Their price was about $400 less than the local Ford dealer.
