No, not about a truck.
Just venting some about people who don't really know know their colors or "think" they know the colors. I'm referring to people who are trying to sell retrobirds on AutoTrader. Some are so clueless. Maybe that's why I don't follow the sales ads anymore other than on TBN - just too picky about names.
This is what I spotted this evening and I'm sure those who follow AutoTrader and other sale sites see the same thing all the time.
2005 Thunderbird colors appear to be red, black, silver, gold, blue, and tan and a couple of cashmere's.
Only spotted 2 "bronze" birds but about 20 gold ones. Funny, they were all the same color. At least a few people knew their color name.
Spotted one "tan" that was actually bronze
spotted one "inca gold metallic" with a "cashmere" interior. (it was a bronze with a sand interior). Oh well, at least the pictures are there.
Then, in the 2004s. Spotted 2 vintage mint greens but no one wanted to call the color green - it was either "blue" or it was "teal"
I stopped looking.
oh, yes, and some of those odd color names were in Ford dealer ads.
Bottom line if you're out there searching for a particular color, check for other color names too, you might be overlooking a color you really want because someone else named it a different color.
