    Re: Comments about "Garage Qeens"

It appears to me that in most cases' even where the cars is driven daily it is a secondary car. It sheer size limits it's use to some extent and most owners have nultiple cars. Where one lives plays a major role in the mileage as well. Some folks have everything with in 2 miles from home. Some of us drive 5 miles for a loaf of bread. What does all this mean.. " I haven't a clue"

I love driving the Thunderbirds, but my Lincoln Town Car fills the daily transportation role much more effectively as I have more room to haul passengers and computer equipment on my job.

        Re: Comments about "Garage Qeens"

I guess my thought is that I want to keep this car as long as possible, it was kept in perfect condition up to the point i took ownership, so why mess with perfection, and it was gifted from my pop to boot. I don't have a garage so it would sit out covered in the driveway vulnerable to the crazy Maryland weather. Im one of the youngins here to (40YO) and want to be enjoying my car in my 60's. I do see a few daily driver TBirds around the DC area at times and I do have to say they look worn, but that could just be from owner neglect. I'll keep on enjoying the conjugal visits, don't they say "absence makes the heart grow fonder"?

Paul - that's one part of our house you missed when you were here (and why all our cars are in the driveway). That's Goldi's hardtop under the blue padding. Someday (soon I hope) all that gets moved to the workshop.

That could be a tb picture challenge. Your bird in a clean or stuffed garage. Can you locate the bird in the garage. Phils' is in the garage but I don't think that is how you treat a queen.

                        Re: Comments about "Garage Qeens"

OMG you all are hilarious, I was laughing so hard I clicked a wrong button, went off the site and had to log back on!

Gene, you got it! That's a big reason the hardtop is going.

Ron, those are the four passenger seats for mom's Town & Country. They were out so we could move all our stuff from the storage facility to here. We put them back in the van yesterday. Our stuff from the storage facility is all in the living room, it looks almost as bad as the garage.

Paul, glad to help! One day, I will have a clean garage...just not today or any day soon. I will say this, if I were a single man, it would be spotless. But alas, I wouldn't be near as happy as I am being a married man with Judy as my wife!

I did do a little clean up yesterday, here's what it looks like now...

Hi Ray, yes it is. It's the old dime machine with the hand crank from the 50's I think. It dispenses the small 6-1/2 oz bottles. I have some there on top of the machine, they're just for show. I bought them several years ago, not much fizz left in them by now.

I want to sell the machine, but Judy wants to keep it. You know how that goes...
